Mayor Bowser stated in her State of the District Address, one way to ensure that pathways to the middle class are being created in a city as prosperous as the District of Columbia is to raise the minimum wage. When the Council returns from its break early next month, Mayor Bowser will send down legislation to increase the minimum hourly wage to fifteen dollars by 2020.
Can we count on you to stand with Mayor Bowser in answering President Obama’s call to raise wages for working men and women?
