See the first-place Nationals — and help a good cause

Plan to go to Nationals Park Saturday, Sept. 10, for the 7:05 p.m. game featuring the first-place Nats against the Philadelphia Phillies — and help the D.C. Public Library Foundation while you’re at it.

Here’s how:

Go to www.nationals.com/vip

Scroll down to select the correct game date: Saturday, Sept. 10, vs. Phillies
Enter the code "DCPL" and select the number of tickets to purchase in the "Gallery Level – Section 316

Tickets are just $19 each, and $5 from every ticket sold goes to the D.C. Public Library Foundation.

Not only will it be "Friends of the Library" night at the Nats game, but there will be hundreds of kids and adults in the ballpark who got free tickets as a premium for completing the Summer Reading Program. What’s more, there will be a kid chosen at random from the Shapherd Park Branch Library (and from every other library branch in the system) for an on-the-field tribute to readers at roughly 6:30 p.m.

So, if you ever needed more than one reason to go to a Nats game — you’ve got ’em!
