Homicide: 400 Block of Buchanan Street, Northwest
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 400 block of Buchanan Street, Northwest on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
At approximately 9:17 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to a call for a man-down. Upon arrival, members located an adult male, in the rear of the location, suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and determined lifesaving efforts were futile. The victim exhibited no signs consistent with life, and remained on the scene until he was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 54-year-old James Patrick Tenor, of Northwest, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
