Does your organization need a no-cost summer intern?

Might your non-profit, government agency, or judicial chamber benefit from the services of a UDC Clarke School of Law Summer Fellow – at no cost to you? If so, please read the criteria, below, and consider meeting UDC Clarke School of Law students on Wednesday, Feb. 15th from 4:45 to 7:30 pm, at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC-DCSL) Annual Public Interest/Public Sector Fellowship Fair!

Every summer, UDC-DCSL provides funding to law students for full-time summer public interest internships, leading to thousands of hours of service to the DC and surrounding areas client community. (Please feel free to forward this message to qualifying organizations that might have a need for such support!)

Guidelines for qualifying organizations:

· Must be a non-profit legal services organization, government agency or the judiciary (please note: individuals seeking legal assistance, private law firms and for-profit organizations do not qualify for funding from this program.

· Work site need not be in the Washington, DC region.

Supervising attorneys must sign an agreement to certify that:

· Work will be law-related , supervised by an attorney and occur in the organization’s office

· The fellow will complete 400 hours before the fall semester begins

· The supervisor will submit a mid-summer and final evaluation of the fellow certifying that hours have been completed.

*If your organization has not previously hosted a UDC-DCSL fellow, or for more information, please contact Adrienne Jones at Adrienne.jones3 for prior approval.

This fair is not open to law students from other schools.

This is a free program but space is limited!
