Call for Volunteers – MPCA Yard Sale and Screen on the Green

Neighbors,

The Manor Park Citizens Association would like to host it’s second neighborhood-wide yard sale on Saturday April 1st, 2017 (I know the date is ambitious, but we can do it!).

This year we will charge $5 for MPCA members and $10 for non-members to participate. The funds raised will help us purchase balloons, fliers/posters/markers, create digital marketing and generate enough money to host another Screen on the Green in Fort Slocum Park.

As with the first yard sale, each house participating will set up items in front of their home. This will enable neighbors to walk around the neighborhood and get to know each other. We would also like to encourage children to set up lemonade stands and sell their goods.

We are asking for five to ten volunteers to make this event possible.

Yard Sale Volunteers will:
Assist with designing the posters
Photograph items for the yard sale (We will create a digital page for each participant with their items.)
Place ‘Yard Sale’ signs around the neighborhood
& Distribute balloons to participants.

***For those that are interested in volunteering for the Screen on the Green, Tiffani Johnson is hosting a meet-up at Culture Coffee (709 Kennedy Street, NW) this Sunday, March 5th from 12-2pm. She is treating!!***

If you have any questions or concerns please email us at dcmanorpark or call Natalee at 202.615.9500 or Tiffani Johnson at 202.271.3710

We look forward to an overwhelming amount of emails/phone calls containing a record number of volunteers 🙂

Thanks for being great neighbors!
