On Saturday March 11th members of our community will participate in the DC Love March to demonstrate solidarity with our diverse DC neighborhoods and stand together to support diversity as a source of strength for DC. The Love March has been organized by a group of educators who, after the election, grew concerned about the fears of many of our students and members of our community. RSVP on Facebook here or on our site here. The march will be proceeding down Georgia Avenue from Emery Recreation Center at Georgia Ave. NW and Madison St NW beginning at 10:30 am with a midpoint rally at Bruce Monroe Park (12:30) and concluding on U Street with a celebration at the African-American Civil War Memorial (1:30-2:30 pm) and will include a diverse array of artists and entertainers. Please join us in solidarity and spread the word through the community- Whoever you are, Wherever you are from, We stand together as neighbors. You can get a Love March shirt that supports great local organizations at this site or at the march itself. See you on March 11th!
