The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) established the Weatherization Policy Advisory Council (PAC) to advise the Department on issues related to the administration of the weatherization program. DOEE’s PAC strives to reflect the relevant groups whom the program represents; in particular, low-income households, especially those that include the elderly, the physically disadvantaged, and families with children. Members may include advocates of weatherization clients who participate in or have a history of activities advocating low-income interests, or recipients or eligible recipients of the weatherization program. The PAC will be comprised of five members who will serve a two-year term.
The PAC shall meet at least twice each year to consider the development of the subsequent year’s WAP State Plan and the implementation and general status of WAP. Where feasible, the PAC’s comments and recommendations are incorporated prior to submission of the State Plan to the United States Department of Energy (US DOE) in accordance with 10 CFR 440.17.
The PAC may also meet as necessary in person, by telephone, or via electronic means to provide DOEE guidance and advice with respect to the development and implementation of the weatherization assistance program and its activities.
Questions or inquiries for additional information may be sent to eecp.grants.
