Temporary Lane Closures for Milling and Paving

(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close driving and parking lanes along Kennedy St NW for milling and paving work. The milling and paving operations will be performed in two segments. On Monday June 26th through Friday, June 30th from 7 am to 7 pm, our contractors will be working from Georgia Avenue eastbound to 8th St NW. On Wednesday July 5th through Friday July 14th from 7 am to 7 pm, our contractors will mill and pave 8th St NW to 4th St NW. Parking will be prohibited on both sides of Kennedy St. Cars will be ticketed and towed if they are not removed from the above work zones.

Georgia Ave to 8th St NW

Monday June 26th through Friday, June 30th

Work Hours: 7 am – 7 pm

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Parking will be prohibited in both directions. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the construction personnel.

8th St NW to 4th St NW

Wednesday July 5th through Friday July 14th

Work Hours: 7 am to 7 pm

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Parking will be prohibited on both sides of Kennedy St. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the construction personnel.
