September will be a great month at The Parks at Walter Reed as we bring back Fitness in The Parks and a host a fun new jazz event.
Fitness in The Parks is Back!
Beginning on Tuesday, September 12, we will resume our free weekly fitness classes on the Great Lawn. The classes will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and run every Tuesday until October 24. Enter through the security gate located at Georgia Ave. and Butternut St.
CASS Fitness, will provide group class instruction with certified personal trainers. Through a combination of cardio, core and full body strength training, participants will get fit while taking advantage of the natural beauty of The Parks campus.
New to fitness? No worries! The instructors know how to tailor the exercises for a wide range of fitness levels, so everyone can enjoy Fitness in The Parks.
No equipment is required, just bring your workout clothes, friends and best attitude! See you at The Parks!
Jazz in The Parks
The Parks will host “Jazz in The Parks” on Saturday, September 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Great Lawn. Bringing in local talent for a kick-back relaxing event, we will take advantage of cooler weather and enjoy the beauty of the campus. We hope you will join us for this special event.
