Unofficial D.C. Council Hearing Schedule

Dear Neighbors,

My name is Keiko Yoshino, Legislative Director to Councilmember Todd. Next week, Council comes back from recess and hearings will begin. We have been putting hearing updates in the newsletter and they are also posted on the DC Council website. However, this fall, Councilmember Todd wants to make it easier for ANCs and Civic Associations to be better apprised of upcoming public hearings.

Attached is an unofficial Council hearing schedule. Every week, notices of new hearings are published in the DC register. However, it is not cumulative, and therefore we have created one and will be updating and sending it to you every week. All the bills are hyperlinked to the actual legislation.

Also attached are instructions for how to testify at hearings. Signing up 48 hours in advance is encouraged to ensure you reserve a space. To testify, you can reach out directly to the Committee holding the hearing. I have created a Committee contact sheet for your convenience (located on page 2 of “How to Testify for Hearings”).

We hope you will share the hearing notice schedule with your communities. If you have any questions about testifying please reach out to our Committee Special Assistant, Faye Caldwell at 724-6663 or fcaldwell

As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas regarding legislation.

Best,

Keiko
