Arrest made in Burglary of Metro PCS Store 5401 Georgia Ave, NW

Great job MPD and to avigilant community members=:

In the early morning hours of Thursday, October 12, 2017, the Metro PCS store located at 5401 Georgia Avenue, NW, was broken into and taken were numerous cell phones. A community member called police and reported seeing a person with boxes enter into a vacant property in close proximity. The officers searched the vacant property and found numerous cell phones taken from the Metro PCS store. Arrested on the scene was 34-year-old Teddy Johnson of Northwest Washington DC. He was charged with Burglary. The detectives are investigating other burglary cases to determine if this arrestee may be involved.

  1. Bravo and kudos to MPD! Thanks, Tiffani, for putting this out, I would have missed it. That store is a neighbor of mine on Jefferson St. They have been robbed numerous times, but they have not pulled up stakes nor put bars on their windows. I’m going over to say hello and express my appreciation.
